30 Day Challenge of Things I Love...Day 5

This is my favorite new picture frame. I found it at the Feathered Nest Market, which is just down the street from me. I was at Country Temptations the other day and found the exact same frame on sale...50% off!

I love unique finds and this was perfect for this photo of me and Kira at her wedding. The perfect rustic touch for an outdoor mountain wedding!

One of the BEST Days of My Life!

The Photo is Actually Screwed Into The Frame.

The cool thing is the frame can be turned sideways, as well. Just unscrew the wing nut and slide it up and flip the frame around. The stand is wrought iron. Very well made!

30 Day Challenge of Things I love...Day 4

Ok, so I blew it. I missed a couple of days, but life happens.  Hubby got sick and I ended up taking him to the walk in clinic on Saturday. Sunday and Monday, I wasn't feeling well and Tuesday was month end for work and frankly...a day from hell! Waaa, Waaa, Waaa! Ok, moving on now...

DREAMY!

SWEET CHIPPINESS!
Is that even a word?!

LOVE those knobs!!!

I went nuts when I found this gem of a chest! It was at one of my favorite antique/junk joints. The chippy paint pulled at my heartstrings and I just had to have it. There's blue paint showing through and some pale yellow and gold. The knobs are porcelain. The drawers are lined with felt and the top drawer has compartments. It's filled with my jewelry and some other tidbits, like extra buttons from tops I've purchased, stuff like that. It was nicely organized at one point, but now I just sort of throw it all in there. Did I really just say that out loud??? Ooops!

30 Day Challenge of Things I Love...Day 3

These two little kittens warm my heart every time I look at them. This is a paint-by-number that my step-daughter, Tori, painted when she was 8 years old. It was a gift for Grandma, my mother-in-law. I loved to paint- by- number when I was a little kid. I mean...who didn't, right? I think I even bought one a few years ago just for the heck of it, but never opened it. Something about a throw back to the good ol' days when life seemed easy and carefree. Oh, how I'd love to sit on an old linoleum floor and play jacks with a golf ball and hope the ball doesn't hit that wonky spot in the floor that makes the funky sound that sends the ball into a tailspin! *Sigh*

OK, back to the future, Nan! When my mother-in-law passed in 1995, all the special treasures I had made her were given back to me, including this gem so I could return it to Tori. I asked Tori if I could please keep it and because she LOVES me SO much, she obliged. I'm in awe of the amazing job she did with her blending of paints at such a young age. The colors are beautiful! I'm such a lucky duck!
